The Technisonic RC-7000 Remote Control provides for remote slaved
operation of the TDFM-7000 Multi-Band Airborne FM Transceiver. It is a
secondary (slave) control point and is not intended to replace the
functionality of the front panel of the radio. This microprocessor
controlled remote allows for a second person at a location other than
near the transceiver, to exercise channel and function control of all
installed features. Active Channel(s), selected frequency or alpha
numeric identifier, operating mode and status are displayed for all
installed bands. Simultaneous operation on up to four bands can be
controlled by the radio or the RC-7000. Simulcast and cross band repeat
can also be controlled via this remote control. The RC-7000 weighs just
11 oz and requires less than 2 inches (depth) behind a 5.75 in. by 3.75
in. Dzus mounting panel. Data transfer between the TDFM-7000 transceiver
and the RC-7000 is at 9600 baud via a 3 wire RS-232 serial interface.
Power requirement is 150 mA (max) at 28.0 Vdc. Panel back lighting is 28
Vdc or 5Vac (software configurable).
