The function of the Technisonic RC-7300 Remote Control is to provide for
remote slaved operation of the TDFM-7300 Multi-Band Airborne FM
Transceiver It is a secondary (slave) control point and is not intended
to replace the functionality of the front panel of the radio. This
microprocessor controlled remote allows for a second person at a
location other than near the transceiver, to exercise channel and
function control of all installed features. Active channel(s) selected
frequency, alpha-numeric identifier, or operation mode and status are
displayed for all installed bands. Simultaneous operation on up to five
bands can be controlled by the radio or the RC-7300. Simulcast and cross
band repeat cam also be controlled by this device. The RC-7300 weighs
just 13 oz and requires less than two inches (depth) behind a 5.75 in W x
4.5 in H Dzus mount panel. Data transfer between the TDFM-7300
transceiver and the RC-7300 remote is via a 9600 baud, 3 wire, RS-232
serial interface. Power requirement is 190 mW (max) at 28Vdc. Panel back
lighting is 28 Vdc or 5 Vac (software configurable).
