The TFM-66 from Technisonic is single band VHF/FM transceiver designed
to operate from 66.000 MHz to 88.000 MHz at the high end of the General
Service VHF Low Band. This transceiver tunes in 2.5 KHz steps providing
for either 12.5 KHz (narrow band) or 25.0 KHz (wide band) channel
spacing. The TFM-66 features a two channel, front panel programmable,
synthesized Guard Receiver, 120 channels of preset memory, scan and
priority scan, all available CTCSS (sub audible) tones, all DPL/DCS
digital squelch codes, and it can operate without restriction on any
split frequency pair available within the band. Function control and
data entry are via a front panel 12 button keypad. Operating frequency,
alpha numeric identifier and other operational data are presented on a
48 character, two line LED matrix display. This exceptional transceiver
weighs just 3.1 pounds, is Dzus mounted and is completely self contained
(no heavy remote R/T unit) eliminating problematic, costly and
complicated interconnect. The small size and light weight of the TFM-66
make it ideal for helicopter installation. Note: The TFM-66 is not FCC
or IC approved and is therefore not available for use in North America.
